In this role, the Conventional Milling Machine Operator works with manual or semi-automatic milling machines to process metal parts according to specifications. The operator is responsible for reading blueprints, setting up the machine, and performing precise machining as required.
- Setup and operate conventional milling machines. - Read blueprints and understand dimensions and tolerances. - Perform quality control of manufactured parts and basic maintenance of the machine.
- Proven experience operating conventional milling machines, minimum five years in the field. - Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. - Understanding and experience in machining a variety of materials, from soft metals like aluminum and copper to hard steels and stainless steels. - Knowledge in selecting appropriate cutting tools and various clamping methods.
